Summary

These stories are about more than the game hunted or the fish caught. They are about everything else a sportsperson experiences in the field: the environment, the weather, the wildlife and (especially) the people who create lasting memories by putting the “wild” in wildnerness.

Despite having many adventurous stories of his own, to avid outdoorsman Ridr Knowlton, the real stories are about the guides and outfitters he’s met over the years. From blinding blizzards, aggressive grizzlies, and man-eating crocodiles, Ridr pulls readers into his wilderness guides’ wild adventures and tales that resulted. Some stories are laugh-out-loud funny, others are chill-you-to-the-bone terrifying, and some are just plain unbelieveable, but all of them show that being an outdoorsperson is not just about shooting or catching. It’s about connecting to the natural world around us.
